Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 August 2026.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Garage Check mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Erbacci LLC ("we", "us"). By using the Service you accept these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, the owner of (or authorised to install software for) the Ring outdoor camera you connect to Garage Check, and the owner of — or otherwise in lawful control of — the garage and property that camera watches. The Service is currently offered only in the United States and supports outdoor Ring cameras only.

2. The Service

Garage Check is a nightly reminder. At a local time you choose, it retrieves the freshest available image from the Ring outdoor camera you selected, has a vision model read the state of the garage door, and sends you one check result, delivered by email and, where enabled, push notification — "Your garage looks open" (with the snapshot), "Garage closed. Sleep well.", a "may be open" result when only an older image exists, or "Couldn't check the garage" when no image can be obtained. A one-tap "Check now" runs the same check on demand. Garage Check is a convenience reminder, not a security or safety system — not a substitute for closing and locking your garage. It reads the state of a garage door; it does not identify people, does not read license plates, and takes no action on your garage or your home.

3. No guarantee a check runs or is correct

A check can fail or be wrong, and these are expected failure modes, not defects: the camera may be offline, asleep, or repositioned; no recent footage may exist and the camera may not wake; the available image may be older than the check time; and the vision model may misread the door due to darkness, weather, glare, snow, occlusion, camera angle, or model limitations. We make no warranty that any check will run at the scheduled time, that a notification will be delivered, or that a reported door state is correct. Do not rely on Garage Check as your only way of knowing whether your garage is closed — walk over and check the door if it matters.

4. Subscription

Garage Check is a third-party app on the Ring Appstore with its own plan, managed entirely by Ring through the Ring Billing System. The app itself never sells anything: the plan is added and managed in the Ring app, and its current terms — what it costs, how long any introductory period lasts, and what happens when that period ends — are the ones shown to you in the Ring app and on the Garage Check Ring Appstore listing at the time you add it. Those terms govern. Garage Check is a separate plan from Ring Protect: Ring Protect and Ring Protect Pro do not include it. You can review, change or cancel it at any time in the Ring app under Menu → My Apps → Garage Check. Without an active plan the nightly and on-demand checks do not run.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to connect only Ring cameras — and monitor only garages and properties — that you own or lawfully control. You agree not to: use the Service to watch any space you are not authorised to watch; use it for any unlawful purpose; treat it as a security, alarm, or safety system; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code; interfere with the Service's operation; or use automated means to access the Service except through documented APIs.

6. Disclaimer

Garage Check is provided "as is" as a convenience reminder layered on top of an existing Ring outdoor camera. We make no warranty that checks will run, that notifications will be delivered timely, accurately, or at all, or that a reported door state is correct. We disclaim any responsibility for decisions made, or loss suffered, in reliance on a Garage Check notification or the absence of one. See the Disclaimer.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Erbacci LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, use, or property, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — including any loss connected to a garage door that was open when Garage Check reported it closed, was not checked, or was checked late.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from inside the app (the Account tab → Delete account); doing so removes your data per our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated in-app before they take effect.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Wyoming, unless local consumer protection law in your jurisdiction grants you a non-waivable right to a different forum.
